Due to ever increasing demand for bandwidth and the ability to push 10Gbps, 40Gbps and 100Gbps across the Network we find ourselves installing more and more OS2 and OM4 Fibre backbones. We're Leviton accredited and have a team of Engineers with Sumitomo splicers and Fluke Versiv testers. 

Saw-Tec Network solutions has trained operatives that have completed the full range of Physical Infrastructure Access (PIA) accreditation modules for both underground and overhead installation and surveying. PIA is an Openreach product that allows other communication providers access to poles and duct, only if they are approved and Openreach have granted access to the communications provider, as you can imagine there is strict processes in place to monitor and aid CP's.

We're actively involved in City Fibre rollouts FTTH (Fibre to the home), carrying out both blown fibre and aerial installations with our PIA accredited Engineers. The main ducting pipe can have up to 19 micro ducts contained within it. A Coated “blow able” optical fibre is blown through a micro duct using compressed air. Carried by viscous drag, the fibres are lifted into the airstream and away from the wall of the micro duct, eliminating friction even around the tightest bends. One Fibre optic strand can carry 10 gigabytes of data every second or over 30,000 telephone conversations. Dress, splice and test fibres on completion as required within the D&B.
